From 2020, the IFFG will have a Youth Jury, which will give young people the opportunity to make their voices heard during the festival. They watch a selection of films and express their appreciation. The film best appreciated by the Youth Jury receives the award.

The Youth Jury is selected prior to the festival on the basis of interest, involvement and activity in the film world. During the festival, the jury not only watched various films, the young people were also allowed to take a look behind the scenes and met filmmakers, guest speakers and actors. In 2022, IFFG Youth Jury Award was presented to Kamila Andini's film Yuni.
