Awards
The filmmakers have a long way to go from start to finish. We think that's reason enough to give these films their well-deserved attention and of course we want to encourage the filmmakers to continue with this. The IFFG Youth Jury Award and IFFG Audience Award are an incentive and a compliment at the same time.
Last year we watched a wonderful selection of films from 13 to 17 April 2022. Both the visitors and the IFFG Youth Jury were given the role of judges. The Youth Jury announced the winner during the Closing Evening: Yuni by director Kamila Andini. A film about perseverance and breaking with traditions in order to live your dreams as a young woman. The winner of the Audience Award 2022 is, as the name suggests, determined by the visitors. The IFFG Audience Award 2022 went to the film You Resemble Me by director Dina Amer.
This year we will once again present two awards. We are curious to see where the votes go. Come and experience the 7th edition of the International Film Festival Gorinchem from 13 to 16 April 2023!
