Ricky and Abby live with their children Seb (15) and Liza Jane (11) in Newcastle. Since the economic crisis, the family has struggled to make ends meet. Abby works long hours in home care, Ricky has lost his job in construction and earns extra money on various odd jobs. In an effort to improve the financial situation and regain stability, Ricky concludes a franchise deal with a major postal company. As his own boss, he starts working as a parcel deliverer, but soon the workload is sky high and he gets entangled in rules and protocols. The family members know what to do with each other, but the challenges they face affect their close bond.
